China arming Hamas?

China Denies Allegations of Arming Hamas

In a recent turn of events, China has vehemently denied allegations of supplying weapons to Hamas, a Palestinian militant group based in Gaza. The allegations were made following reports by Israeli media that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) had discovered a cache of weapons in Gaza, some of which were reportedly made in China.

China’s Stance

Chinese defense ministry spokesperson Wu Qian, in a press conference, stated that “China has never provided any weapons or equipment for the conflict in Gaza”. The Chinese military has always adopted a “responsible attitude” towards defense exports, and it has never supplied any weapons to conflict areas.

The IDF’s Findings

The IDF reported that they had discovered a stockpile of weapons in Gaza, which included equipment made in China. The cache reportedly contained cartridges and rifle sights for M16 assault rifles, automatic grenade launchers, and communications devices.

Implications and Speculations

While the discovery of made-in-China weapons in Gaza has raised eyebrows, it does not necessarily indicate that the Chinese government supplied these weapons. The weapons could have been obtained through various means, including the global arms black market.

In conclusion, while made-in-China weapons were reportedly found in Gaza, the Chinese government has denied any involvement in supplying these weapons. The situation remains complex and further investigations are likely to follow.

This base has been a repeated target of Hezbollah’s attacks in the past. The missile is depicted making a direct hit on a target within the base. This marks the first instance of Hezbollah documenting the use of such weaponry against Israel. The release of this video signals a new chapter in the ongoing conflict between the two entities.
